How to make a Greek omelet with potatoes and feta
The deliciousness of a Greek omelet is based on the simplicity of the ingredients perfectly combined together.
A Greek Omelet is made with only 4 ingredients: potatoes, eggs, Kaseri cheese, and feta! If you like recipes with feta then I’m sure you will also love this one! I often like to pair it with a Greek Salad because they are a very delicious combo.
If you do not have Kaseri cheese then you can substitute it with any other cheese of your choosing but feta is a must-have ingredient for this recipe
Fry the potatoes over high heat until golden brown

Add the fried potatoes in an empty non-stick skillet

Season the eggs with salt and pepper and pour them over the potatoes

Add the crushed feta and the Kaseri cheese

Cook on medium heat for 5 min with the lid on

Flip the omelet in half

Enjoy your Greek Omelet!

How to make a Greek Omelet
Ingredients:
- 3 eggs lightly beaten
- 2 Potatoes cut into strips, fried
- 100g Feta, fork crushed
- 30g Kaseri Cheese or any of your choosing, grated
- Vegetable oil for frying the potatoes
- A pinch of Salt / Pepper
Instructions:
- Fry the potatoes and remove them on kitchen paper to absorb the excess oil.
- Crush the feta into crumbles with a fork and set it aside.
- Lightly beat 3 eggs until they get foamy and add a pinch of salt, and freshly ground black pepper.
- Add the fried potatoes to an empty non-stick frying pan over medium heat.
- Add the beaten eggs and swirl the pan so the eggs cover the potatoes.
- Add the feta and the cheese and cover your frying pan with a lid for around 5 mins until the eggs are slightly cooked, but still runny.
- With a spatula loosen the edges all around the omelet.
- Flip the omelet in half and serve directly from the pan to your plate, or let it cook for 2 more minutes with the lid on, or flip the omelet completely if you like your omelet cooked well done. (Depends on how you like your eggs).
